just thought i'd share with you guys one of my all time favorite yogurts...and actually, its the only greek yogurt i've ever been able to eat w/o "doctoring" it up with honey...it's the greek gods fig greek yogurt...i found it at a somewhat local (an hour's drive north) health food store...

the only bad thing...it's loaded in calories and fat..that's why i only treat myself to it once every few months...

look what i got in the mail last night!...that's right, i finally took the plunge and subscribed to studio calico.  i'm super excited!  i even went and had pics printed on my lunch hour so as soon as my package arrived i could start scrapping.  but as always, i lacked the follow through.  was just so tired last night that i didn't really get much accomplished.  i still have oodles of photos and videos to go through to get ready to be posted here on the blog...

hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  as it is most of the time, this weekend went by way too fast.  thought i'd share a few pics from this weekend.

friday night i went to red lobster for dinner w/ some friends.  i have a small group that i meet w/ every friday night.  then after dinner we were going to see the new movie contagion, but opted for some starbucks instead.  saturday i traveled about 3-1/2 hours for a church gathering that lasted all day.  then sunday i enjoyed about 12 hours of sleep...church service...then a youth fundraising dinner of fried fish.

i actually only took two pics all weekend...i need to step it up w/ more pics.  these pics are just from my iphone, so not the best of quality...although i did touch them up a bit in photoshop...

hello everyone!

just wanted to let you all know i'm still alive and kicking.  i so would like to keep this blog updated more and i keep promising to, but then life happens and other things crowd out the blog.  idk how some people keep their blog so updated and looking spectacular.

hope you all have been having a fabulous summer.  i'm a little bummed to see it leaving, but after soooo many days straight of 100+ temps for us this summer, i have to admit that some cooler weather will be a nice break.  i even bought a scarf and boots the other day...ha!

i have been planning some blog posts and just transferred nearly 500 pics from my camera last night and have been making some more videos that will be going to youtube in the next few weeks.

one thing that kept me relatively busy was working toward my first craft fair.  actually, my mom - who sews and does custom embroidery work - was approached about being in the craft fair.  but, as payment for creating her logo and business cards, she payed the craft fair fee and let me put in some items too.  so i was busy making 50...yes, that's right...50 cards and several altered canvas art pieces.  and i took pics of every piece to share w/ you guys.  unfortunately the craft fair wasn't very busy and i didn't sell much, but it was a great experience.  and...we were invited to participate in some more craft fairs!

So as I promised earlier last week, I'm trying to get caught up on some blog posts.  My secret is posting a lot during one night and scheduling them to post throughout the week...I kinda hate doing that, but right now it's that or nothing.  Anywho, I hope you've been enjoying seeing some of these things I've been working on...


These two cards I created during the same evening.  I needed a "thank you" card to send to a friend in response to a birthday card I'd received.  And I also wanted to send a card to my super-sweet friend who got married this past spring and moved to Georgia.

I'm beginning to realize my style falls somewhere between clean/modern and shabby chic/victorian...interesting combo, but the more I work on projects, the more I see it starting to come together...
