Today I'd like to introduce a new series I'm starting called "Inspired By."
Sometimes when I craft I just go into my craft room and start from scratch, just playing around with products. Other times I may peruse my Pinterest board for ideas. And then there are those times when I'm directly inspired by another creator's technique and want to try it right away. That's what happened the other day and where I then got the idea for this series.
I love watching YouTube videos and Kristina Werner is one of my favorites. Here is the blog post to the card where I took my inspiration from.
I rarely use my embossing folders but just couldn't get it out of my head how she had combined them with some Nuvo drops to make the most beautiful background. That evening I went straight into my craft room and created these cards. This is definitely a technique I can see myself using over and over. For both of these cards I used the A2 Quarterfoil embossing folder from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby's in house brand). The first card I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Antique Rose. For the second card I alternated drops of the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Sea Breeze and Rosewater.
