More Alcohol Ink Cards
Happy Monday!
Back today with a couple more cards that I created using a sheet of Yupo paper and Alcohol Inks. I love how the alcohol ink colors blend together. These panels are so fun to make and I usually create quite a few at once. Then I just cut them apart and create cards with them later.

He's Brought Me This Far
Happy Friday! Yay, we can see the weekend finally :-)
I've been watching a ton of scrapbook process videos lately. It has definitely made me want to do some traditional scrapbook layouts again. They really are my favorite of all papercrafting. And I was surprised how quickly this one came together.
When I started pulling the supplies together, I simply grabbed a bunch of new things. Though in the end I filled in with some older stuff in my stash. I knew I wanted florals and definitely a white background. Also I wanted to try a bigger photo than the 4x6 I typically use. One more thing was I wanted to play around with verticals. About half way through this layout I started tearing it apart as it just wasn't coming together...but I could see enough possibility that I knew I at least had the basis of what I wanted. I'm happy I pushed on as I quite like how this tuned out.

Alcohol Ink Cards
I'm not sure why, but I always never considered that Alcohol Inks would be for me. Partly is probably because I never really understood them. But after watching a few videos of them being demonstrated I picked up some basics back in December. And I played around with them a bit and kinda liked them. Then I watched more videos and this past month I've fallen in love with these inks. I now want all the colors, ha!
Today I have a couple of cards that I made using one sheet of Yupo paper. So far I've played around with the inks on Yupo paper and photo paper. I picked up a pack of Alcohol Ink cardstock variety pack but haven't broke into it yet.
I love how the backgrounds turn out and think they work well as either the spotlight of the card or as a layering piece.
I'll have a couple more cards using red/purple inks on Monday. So come back to see them!

December Daily 2017
Hello all! I'm FINALLY sharing my December Daily album here today.
Honestly it took me through January to finish the layouts. Then I photographed it and it was so overcast that day that when I finally got around to editing the photos they were all horrible and out of focus. So then this past weekend I reshot it all...only to realize that part of them were still out of focus. I'm wondering if it was the glare catching on the page protectors?! Sooo I shot it a third time. And I'm still not happy with the quality of my photos :-( I'm not sure why I struggled so badly with these pics. Do you have any tips for photographing Project Life/December Daily albums?
Anyways. Lots and lots of photos to share today. I photographed it in spreads as it appears in the album and also took out each page and shot it individually. There are a few detail shots too.
I used an old December Daily kit and a couple 6x6 pads to go along with my photos. I wanted to keep it pretty minimal so I could quickly put it together. I really only used journaling/filler cards to keep the flow of where I wanted each page to start/end. Super simple journaling on most of the tops of the photos. I used an 8.5 x 11 album that I added some decorations to. Oh and I technically started on Thanksgiving since I had Holiday things going on before December. And I took my album all the way through the 31st. I'm soooo glad that I actually completed this album. I've wanted to make one of these for YEARS but never have got around to it.
Now...if only I could keep up a regular Project Life album! Ha. Hope you enjoy looking through my album today.
