as much as i can't seem to accept it, i've joined the group of thirty-year olds.
i'm still having a rough time getting over the fact that i'm no longer in my twenties.
for the past two years i've been making these lists (28 before 29 and 30 before 30) so i thought i'd go ahead and make one this year as well.
the first year i made one it was a bit pathetic how many things i accomplished.
this past year was better.
i hope to keep the momentum up and accomplish a lot more things on my list this time!
1 // learn calligraphy
2 // rework my handwriting
3 // bake french macarons

12 // pray before i start the day
13 // read the bible through in 90 days

...{...happy birthday and a check of the list...}...
guess what today is...did you guess? it's my blog's birthday!!! one year ago today i made my very first ever blog post. i can't believe it has been a year already! i thought and thought about what i wanted to post about today... and i decided i'd share with you guys a check mark i made off my birthday bucket list!
here's a clue...
that's right...i marked off number.11 from the list! i didn't run, but i did walk a 5k which supported our local cancer support house. it was a bit chilly that morning and the race started at 8am. so when i woke up at 6:15 i was definitely asking myself "what was i thinking!" luckily i'd teamed up with some other people, so i knew i wouldn't be alone in my walk that day. at one point in the walk i did tear up a bit...there was this steep hill and a person cheering on the sideline held up a sign that said if they could beat cancer then we could conquer that hill. it was a rather sobering moment realizing just what our walk/donation truly meant. i want to start back training and be able to run the 5k next year!
i'm pretty happy with myself for the 76 posts that i've made in the past year and look forward to lots more posting in the next year. also, just wanted to let you know a couple of other places you can find me --> pinterest - twitter - instagram - youtube - i'd love it if you'd come follow me of course here on my blog and also at the other places just listed. and of course leave me a comment letting me know where i can come follow you too!

...{...Birthday Bucket List...}...
Just a few days I ago I had a birthday!...turned 28 on the 30th. 28 feels...idk, just okay. LOL. Right now it sounds too old for me. 25 was a bit hard realizing I was half way through my 20's. 26 was a really good fit. When I hit 27, I realized I was well on my way to 30...which just sounds way too old for me. But somehow 30 is sounding less daunting the closer I get to it ;-)
Ever since I saw one of these lists, I've wanted to make one and couldn't wait until my birthday to start. I was actually a bit surprised as I got about two-thirds into the list I had a harder time thinking of things to complete the list. I'll try to keep it updated as I complete things. And I'm thinking of adding it to my side bar so it will be easier for you to keep updated!
...now...in no particular order...
